Children and Family Health Surrey launches new referral service for health professionals

Children and Family Health Surrey launches new referral service for health professionals.

The ‘Children and Family Health One Stop’ referral process is starting its phased roll-out from Monday 31 July across mid Surrey (Leatherhead, Epsom, Dorking, Elmbridge).

This service will:

•Provide a single phone number 0300 222 5755

• Mid- Surrey* referrals only formerly via the Referral Management Centre (RMC) only: receive referral and triage

• Surrey wide Tongue Tied Service: receive and triage.

*Please note that the One Stop currently only manages referrals for child health services in the district boroughs of Mole Valley, East Elmbridge, Epsom& Ewell, and Banstead and Tattenham. The exception is for the Tongue Tie service, which we can process for the whole of Surrey.

This is the first stage of the Children and Family Health One Stop roll out and more information on the next stages and services staging across Surrey will be made available soon.

Benefits include improving referral and booking of appointments and increase efficiency in managing Children and Family Health Surrey’s children, young people and families’ clinical care system journey. Service delivery will also be enhanced through improved communication between service users, referrers and services, keeping everyone informed during referral management. For example, a secure web portal will be coming soon to manage referrals and details on this will be made available when it is active.
