Well done!

Congratulations to the Audiology team who have been granted accreditation for their service.

The United Kingdom of Accreditation Services (UKAS) performs technical assessments of physiological measurement services to determine their competence and compliance with the relevant national and international standards. Accreditation is granted following successful completion of an initial assessment and annually thereafter through onsite assessment visits.

The Children and Family Health Surrey community paediatric audiology services, delivered by Kingston Hospital, was first accredited under the Improving Quality in Physiological Services in 2014 and this year’s annual assessment included an extension to scope application for use of the new Orchard Centre, in Horley.

Following a comprehensive two-day onsite visit which included a document review, clinical observations, staff interviews and service user feedback, we are delighted to announce accreditation was achieved for the service. A fantastic achievement for all those involved, ensuring children continue to receive a high-quality service.
