Child Safety Week

logo.pngChild Safety Week is run the by Child Accident Prevention Trust to raise awareness of the risks of child accidents and how they can be prevented.

This years’ Child Safety Week runs from Monday 3rd June to Sunday 9th June 2019.

Did you know that 95% of all childhood burns and scalds happen at home. Most are caused in the day-to-day situations that many parents don’t anticipate, like children reaching for hot coffee or stepping on hair straighteners.

The theme for this campaign is Family life today: where’s the risk? It highlights the new dangers facing families today from our modern lifestyles and offers simple solutions to keep children safe.

Make sure you download this year's free Action Pack or order CAPT resources for information about some of the most common causes of child accidents and how to prevent them.

Find out more, by visiting the safety advice, and pass on what you’ve learnt to family and friends.
