Allergy Week

Allergy Awareness Week

Allergy Awareness week from 24 to 30 April 2017 seeks to raise awareness of hay fever, asthma, food and skins allergies and anaphylaxis.

The awareness week is run by Allergy UK

According to Allergy UK, allergies are on the rise and half the people in the UK with allergies are children. At Children and Family Health Surrey we can help with healthcare advice and support.

Babies and young children

If your child has been diagnosed with an allergy, your health visitor can support you to safely manage your child’s allergy. Contact your local health visiting team to get in touch.

Teenage hayfever

With many exams taking place in the peak hayfever months of May and June, it is important that teenagers with hayfever are able to manage their allergy. Our school nurses are there to help you find ways to cope with hayfever and other allergies. Get in touch with your local school nurse.

Childhood vaccinations

It is important that children are vaccinated to protect them from a range of illnesses. Children and Family Health Surrey provides vaccinations in schools and clinics across Surrey. If you have an allergy, tell your school nurse about it. Get in touch with your local school nursing team.
